In Alta Maremma, where the land tells stories of sea, wind, and rock, Alicante Nero has grown for centuries, deeply rooted in the heart of this Mediterranean region.

Over time, however, it was set aside, replaced by more productive varieties. But its strength remained intact, and we at Ampeleia decided to seek it out and bring it back home.
By rediscovering its connection with Maremma, we gave new life to this variety, and it rewarded us. Today, this monovarietal wine is the result of that return to the origins and our bond with the land.

It’s that afrank and straightforward wine, yet enriched by elegance, finesse, and the joyful character that only our land can impart.
